In the weeks before their wedding I asked Amy & David how they wanted their day to feel. They told me “we are hoping that everyone will feel the cosy October love!” - and guess what? That’s exactly what happened at this cosy Comrie Croft wedding.

Comrie Croft, tucked away in the Perthshire woods, is warm and welcoming. The forest is a perfect autumn hiding place, just the spot for gathering round the fire-pit after some energetic ceillidhing. They’re both well into their music, and this was threaded through the day. Their playlist had an emphasis on the 60s & 70s and they told their guests that this was their chance to wear anything that makes them think of that era, the more colourful the better.

Amy & David were super keen to have a sustainable Scottish wedding. Their flowers, by Tomnah’a, were grown in the fields at Comrie Croft. They opted for decor and details that were as eco-friendly as they could find. And I want to give a special shout-out to local supplier True North Soapworks. Their gorgeous candles lit up the barn and I liked them so much that I immediately bought some for myself.

Other highlights from their day included a mid-ceremony performance by a family friend who is an opera singer (a handy contact to have), readings from Tolkien and very, very amusing speeches. Not to mention the crowded dancefloor and happy chatting under the courtyard fairylights.
